Jønndalen Høyfjellseter (960 m.a.s) is located in beautifulsurroundings in a seterdal in Uvdal, on the top of Numedal. The place is a good starting point for mountain walks on Hardangervidda. In Jønndøla river which flows close by, there is good fishing. There is also opportunities for trout fishing in two small mountain lakes about an hour’s journey away.
The name Jønndalen derives from the Iron Age when it was mined iron (jønn) from the marshes in the area. Later there were seats operation that dominated and there are about 10mountain pastures along the ca. 7 km long valley. Today it isstill operating on a few pieces.
In winter there are excellent conditions for skiing, both along the well-trodden trails and the terrain. It is approx. 8 km toUvdal Alpine with 3 lifts and excellent opportunities for all types of alpine sports.
Jønndalen Høyfjellseter has 20 bedrooms, fireplace, dining room and kitchen, is rented on a self-catering basis and is best suited for groups of approx. 25-45 people.

The bedrooms are furnished with 2-4 Beds. Two of the rooms have private toilets. Five common toilets and showers and one sauna.
